Waiting and waiting and then...
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. – Psalm 25:3
For many of us, waiting for one hour can be too much. For others, thirty minutes is the limit. When waiting on God, it may take years. It seems He does not hear your prayer and is not concerned about your situation. While enduring tribulations, we may make the mistake of focusing on the circumstances. We fail to acknowledge the fact that, as hard as it may be, God is giving us the strength to persevere. Though He is not bringing us out as we prefer, He is helping us while we are in it.
While waiting it seems that others, who are not as righteous, are getting ahead or getting away. But God has His own timing which we may never understand. We grow while waiting. We learn while waiting. We become stronger while waiting. God is moving in ways that we do not see while we are waiting. Then, when He is ready, He lets us know that He is there. He hears, He sees, and He cares. The wait has not been for nothing.
Though the struggle is far from over, we rejoice over yesterday’s (4/20/2021) guilty verdict. While thick, dark clouds continue to loom, may this ray of sunshine give us strength to keep fighting.
