In Love, For Justice

Judge me, O God, and plead me cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. – Psalm 43:1

Terribly, tragic encounters with law enforcement continue. With this centralized post I hope to lovingly memorialize those who were lost and help maintain some light on this urgent issue. I do not claim to know all the details or have all the answers. However, it is obvious that systemic racism exists amongst some who have sworn to protect and serve. It is not only about unjustified shootings, but cruel and brutal treatment as well. Hopefully, neither case will go cold or forgotten. Rather, there should be fair, thorough investigations that bring the facts to light and corrupt members of law enforcement to justice. Because, when we said, “We shall overcome…”, we did not mean receiving millions of dollars for the lives of loved ones.

Let us continue to peacefully protest and make our voices heard in expectation for a day of change. Also, pray for the families and friends who mourn and await justice.
