Submission

An angel came to Mary and informed her that, as a virgin, she would birth the Son of God. It was a surreal experience and revelation. Yet, after only one question, Mary’s response was, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word”. (Luke 1:38)

Unfortunately, this is not always the case with us. We, sometimes, put up more of a challenge. We get so distracted with circumstances in life, or in such a state of confusion, that it takes a while before the Lord gets our attention. Then, what He speaks to us is so amazing and life-changing, it’s difficult for us to receive it. But, we must know that no matter who we are, where we come from, or what we’ve done, nothing is impossible with God. We have to stretch our faith and reach for the promise. Like Mary, believe it and say, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word”.
