Persecution
Some problems come with the territory. But, if God gave you the territory, then you're equipped to handle the problems. Don't bail out!
This is a post from my past. The truth is some problems are inevitable. For sure, persecution is part of the Christian life. The difference is in the way you view and handle it. Sometimes, people will bring up your past. It’s true; however it is in your past. Find peace in knowing that you have peace with God. He does not hold our past against us once we have repented. (Hebrews 8:12) Plus, Proverbs 16:27, as well as other scriptures, speaks of people who do this. Other times, you may be persecuted with lies. I think someone said that I used to be a prostitute. This is laughable; a fabricated lie. I’ve never been anywhere near that lifestyle. People will choose to believe whatever they want. God told me that this is why people talk “behind your back” and never confront. They don’t want to give you the opportunity to explain or defend yourself. They want to make up their own stories. However, truth always prevails. (Proverbs 12:19)
People who persecute have a problem within themselves. Their heart is evil. Anyone with a little insight and discernment can and will see it. Also, we generally do not attack unless we feel threatened. If someone is persecuting you, they probably see potential in you that threatens them. Consider it a compliment. Don’t get discouraged. Stay true to your covenant with God. Keep moving forward.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. - 2 Timothy 3:12
