Make Room for Jesus

…Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. - Luke 19:5

What a privilege it would be to have Jesus as a guest in your home. It was one not given to many. Yet, Zacchaeus was chosen to do the honors. When he heard that Jesus was passing through, he wanted to see Him but could not, because there was a crowd around and he was short. However, he did not allow his disadvantage to stop him. He climbed a tree, and Jesus noticed him.

How much effort do you put into seeing Jesus? If we show a sincere desire to be in His presence He will come and dwell with us. Zacchaeus accommodated Him physically in his home. Today, if we provide a place for Him, He will dwell in our spirit. We never have to be separated again. There is no reason to wonder about Him. He will make Himself available and commune with you directly. Just let Him know that he is welcome, and He will come in.
