Go Back and Move Forward

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. – Exodus 3:10

Moses grew up in Egypt but had gone to Midian and established a life there. After all the time that had passed, he likely thought Egypt was forever in his past. However, the day came when God told him He was sending him back. He was going back on a mission of setting God’s people free from Egyptian bondage. Once done, they were all to go into the Promised Land together.

There may be times you feel sure your life is headed in one direction. Even then, it is wise to remain open to the most high God. Through Jesus, stay in tune with Him to recognize His voice. He may redirect you to fulfill His plan that includes returning to your past. For the good of all involved, trust and obey. Know that moving forward may require going back.
