Who is Boaz?

Single Christian ladies, many of us want God to send our “Boaz”. That’s perfectly fine. However, do you know who Boaz is? Do you know what he looks like or how he talks? One thing I want to focus on is Boaz’s integrity. Please read Ruth 3:1 – 4:13. When Ruth went to him, it was nighttime and they were alone. However, Boaz did not try to take advantage of her. He was concerned about her maintaining her good reputation and dignity. Also, Ruth basically asked him to marry her. However, Boaz said there was another relative closer than he was, and he needed to clear it with him first. So, in addition to respecting Ruth, Boaz not only knew the law but made every effort to follow it. Ladies, this is integrity!

A good man should know the word of God and obey it. He will show you respect and encourage you to respect yourself. A “Boaz” will not expect you to behave in any manner that's inappropriate before marriage. A man definitely may have the potential and good intentions toward you, but he needs to learn. If that’s the case, then it’s probably best that you keep your distance and let God work on him. Also, you may need to give yourself time to grow. Don't settle and miss who God has for you.
