Thirsty No More

In John 4:1-30, the woman at the well had been in several relationships. However, when she met Jesus she finally admitted, “I have no husband”. She confessed that doing things her own way, or drinking water from the well, was not working. She was still thirsty. She had not gotten the results she wanted. Finally, she agreed to try the living water that Jesus offered, she left her water pot, and her life was forever changed.

Sometimes, we’re doing things our own way and try very hard to make it appear that we have it all together. But, the fact is we’re still thirsty. At some point it would be wise to admit “I have no husband”. It may be in relationships, your professional life, or your spiritual life. Recognize that drinking from the well has not gotten you any where. Leave your water pot, drink the living water that Jesus offers, and do things His way. You’ll get the right results.
