Sowing and Reaping
It’s always right to do right, to put forth effort to make good decisions, and to be a morally sound person. A part of that includes putting others before you, giving, and making sacrifices. However, it can become discouraging when you feel there are inadequate rewards or you’re not getting the expected results.
Please keep in mind that God sees everything you do. Ultimately, your reward will come from Him. His timing is not ours. (1 Peter 3:8) Be careful of setting your own time limit of when you think reciprocity should occur. Be open to exactly what your reward should be. God knows what’s best for you and will bless you accordingly. Be sure your motives are pure. Don’t do right or give just for the sake of getting something in return. Do it from your heart. Find peace in knowing that you’ve done/given your best.
Please know when you need to take a break. It’s fine to step away and get some rest and/or reward yourself. Don’t push beyond your limits. Jesus rested. You should, too. (Mark 6:31)
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. - Galatians 6:9
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. - 1 Corinthians 15:58
