Profit or Problem

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. - Exodus 32:1

The multitude demanded Aaron to make gods for them. They claimed to not know what had become of Moses because he had been on the mountain for so long. Their words were, "...as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt...". Out of their own mouths they acknowledged what Moses had done for them. They had seen God execute the plagues through him. They had seen God split the Red Sea for them. It was obvious that God was with Moses. Yet, the people were ready to reject him.

The fact is people will do what they want to do, believe what they want to believe, etc. Sometimes, they'll try to make someone else responsible for their decisions. However, when you know you've done the right thing, you've said what you're supposed to say, then don't take it personally when they try to make you the culprit for their foolishness. Don't allow people to make you the problem after you've been proven profitable.
