The House of God

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple. - Psalm 27:4

Literally, regardless of what you think of her, the church has always been a staple within the African-American community. Many have received assistance, inspiration, encouragement, direction, and even total conversion through regular visits and involvement in this sacred institution. She provides refuge for us to connect with God and be free from all other interference. With confidence, we can approach Him and ask and receive, seek and find, knock and the door will open. In spite of her controversial existence, our history can not be told without speaking of her. Please share a way the temple of God has impacted your life. Feel free to shout out your local assembly.
