Who's calling?

In 1 Samuel 3:2-14, the Lord called Samuel. However, due to his immaturity, he answered to Eli. Eli told him that he did not call him and to go back and lie down. When Samuel came to him a third time, Eli realized it was God calling and advised him on how to respond. Samuel did as Eli told him and heard from the Lord further.

Sometimes, you may attempt to answer a call only to be disappointed. Maybe you responded to the wrong person, location, or at the wrong time. Maybe you misunderstood completely. However, don’t lose heart. Just remain available. Keep your eyes and ears open and know that God will provide clarity. As His word says, He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
