Exalted in Exile

One of the most romantic stories in the bible is that of Esther and the king. It is so partly because the king chose Esther over many other ladies to replace the former queen. It is also important to note that Esther was not a native of the kingdom (Esther 2:5-7). As a foreigner, or outsider, with the favor of God, she was able to find favor with the king and become his queen. As the queen, her cousin and she were able to save her people after one of the king’s closest servants plotted to kill them.

No matter where you come from, you should be open to the will of God. Allow Him to take you away from what’s familiar and comfortable into the unknown. Never underestimate what He can do through you. He can use you to positively touch an entire population or even the world. Also, it’s fortunate that the king did not reject her because she was a Jew. Judging people because of their religion or race can lead to misjudgment. Through the union of the king and Esther, good prevailed over evil. So, ladies, take your place and fulfill your purpose. Other people are depending on you.
