Bounce Back

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for His mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord. - Jeremiah 33:11

When you walk with God your obedience can lead to a place where it seems His promises will not come to pass. You may find yourself in what appears to be a low state. Jeremiah had prophesied as God commanded, yet he found himself in prison. It is important to remember God’s word when it seems He has forgotten it. He is a promise keeper and often tests His people’s faithfulness with such challenges. Jeremiah prayed and God reassured him of restoration. When we remain faithful during times like these, we can be certain of the following:

  • Where there was depression and discouragement, He will restore the voice of joy and gladness.

  • Where there was isolation there will be a celebration for the preordained connection that positions you in the one place where you can fulfill God’s purpose for your life.

  • Where there was oppression, you will again hear the voice of those who appreciate His mercy and come into His presence with sacrifices of praise. God will keep His word even though we do not deserve it.

As we enter the last quarter of the year your circumstances may not be what you want or expected. However, God will not forsake His covenant. No matter how dark it may get allow His promises to shed light on the situation. Your faithfulness guarantees you will bounce back from whatever has you bound.
